New machinery developed in the USA installed at Enfield had greatly increased its output without needing more skilled craftsmen.

They were encouraged to do this by the War Office which gave the BSA gunsmiths free access to technical drawings and to the War Office's Board of Ordnance's Royal Small Arms Factory factory at Enfield. It was formed by a group of fourteen gunsmith members of the Birmingham Small Arms Trade Association specifically to manufacture guns by machinery. History of the BSA industrial group Machine-made guns īSA began in June 1861 in the Gun Quarter, Birmingham, England. 1.2.4 Sparkbrook Royal Small Arms Factory.Welcome to the TAG and enjoy your experience your journey through airgun land. If you get a gun that shoots well, KEEP IT! We sell guns that are really good shooters in search of the perfect airgun only to regrett selling that special gun that shot so well. 25 BSA singleshot out there also that has eliniminated many ground sqirrels. What gun(s) do you have? I started with a Daisy Pal and have worked up a few steps. (I learned that from one of the airgun smiths.) Airguns don’t have the debris that powder burners have that will cause a false reading. I place the muzzle of my ariguns no more than a foot from the first sky screen. Place something in front of it so as not to blast it into pieces. Buy a ProChrono Digital Model and move on.

(Soon you will ask how to quiet your backstop as the sound of the pelllets striking the backstop will be louder than your gun. Perfect for pesting, or just punching paper in your backyard. Never before in history has man had the high air pressure sources and the sophisticated airguns that give you power, accuracy, and most of all such enjoyment! And they are legally quieted down to whatever you can get them to. You will want more power, or accuracy, or perhaps a magazine fed airgun. They hook you with a cheap model knowing that you will want more…Hmm, just like the airguns you are shooting. We ask ourselves, do I really need a chronograph? Yes, we do need a chronograph…and it needs to perform well. The SC F-1 is seductive because it is the least expensive.

However, once you have been drawn to the dark side…AF guns, PCP guns, well the accronym BOAT applies Break Out Another Thousand. Look! Up in the sky! It’s, it’s super pellet!!!! (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.) 😉 WOK makes a good point though, without a chronograph, you can imagine your pellets going faster than a speeding train, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.

That’s also when I took a good look at the ProChrono and observed the placement of the sensors. I thought that it was just me who was getting so many error messages until this became a popular topic. Ii was able to figure out what was going on with my airguns with the sc product even though there were many error messages. I bought the sc because that’s what pyramid stocked and I didn’t know any bettter. I am actually pleased that happened as I am much more pleased with the ProChrono and its usere interface. That individual I dealt with went so far as to say that I was trying to steal from them.

Regarding the sc company itself, there are reports of people who have been treated well, and those like me who were not. The better user interface is a result of better engineering…perhaps by someone who actually is a shooter. Debris such as dust and paper fragments will decrease the chronograph’s performance. I placed a large piece of clear packing tape over the sensor openings of my ProChrono to keep dust and debris off of the sensors. I think that the better performance of the ProChrono is due to this design difference. I noticed that the sensors are recessed deeper into the ProChrono than they are in the chrony.
